APPLICATION AND ABSTRACT SUBMISSION
Applications are open from 1 February 2023.
Deadline for participants without an oral/poster presentation is 1 September 2023.
Deadline for application and submission of abstracts for participants with oral/poster presentation* is 3rd April 2023.
* Participants may present their paper with a poster (dimensions: 100 x 70 cm).
Abstracts and presentations can be in Croatian or English.
Applications and abstracts are submitted via a form available on the congress website: www.8hgk.eu
All submitted abstracts will be reviewed before being accepted for presentation at the Congress.
Participants will receive notification of acceptance by 15 May 2023.
All accepted abstracts will be published in the Book of Abstracts.
Paper and poster presentations will only be included in the programme and Book of Abstracts if the authors pay the fee.

All participants pay a fee.
The fee includes participation in all sessions and social events (welcome drinks, coffee breaks, lunch on 4 and 5 October 2023 at Hotel Malin), congress documentation and a certificate of attendance.
The congress excursion on 6 October is excluded from the fee and will be paid separately.
Important note: Fee and excursion supplement are non-refundable after 20 September 2023.
Fees:
The conference fee for PhD students is 75 EUR.

CONGRESS EXCURSION
The supplement for the congress excursion includes bus transfer, entrance fees, guided tour and lunch.
The number of excursion participants is limited to the first 40 payments (no registrations!). Deadline for payment of the congress excursion is 1 September 2023.
Programme
The main topic of the excursion is the transformation of the island of Krk in the last 20 years. The excursion will include several tourist destinations on the island as illustrative examples of the recent development of different types of tourism: Vantačići, Porat, Haludovo; Krk town (visit to Frankopan castle with interpretation centre); Baška; Vrbnik and Dobrinj. The estimated duration of the excursion is from 9 am to 5 pm.
